sigh. isn't january supposed to be a SLOW period for retail? would someone PLEASE remind people of this?
i go into work today, to find that they had let go of one of my workers on saturday.. something i already knew was coming. but, i also find out, two hours into my shift, that another one of my guys is in the hospital. (thank you ever so much for waiting until three hours before HE was supposed to be at work. nothing like giving me some time to actually, you know, FIND someone to come in for him.) i found out tonight that he's going to be out for three weeks. his mother's going to come up tomorrow to explain why. so.. we lost one guy due to being fired. another is on medical leave for his wife. and a third is now in the hospital. and we are still so freaking busy. it seriously amazes me how backed up we got today.
tomorrow should be interesting. my direct manager is leaving it up to me to change the schedule for the next few week's. (fun fun) i have to replace two of the three guys. oh, and did i mention that this will have to happen all within an hours time tomorrow? yeah. it's me and a new guy from 7 - 2, one guy comes in at 2 and my other closer at 3. ANNND it's supposed to snow here pretty bad tomorrow after noon. again, fun fun.
oh, and before i forget, we also need to get everything cleaned by saturday. can we say NOT GOING TO HAPPEN? (and can we also say nicci's going to be getting into trouble again for it? oi. i don't care. i can't do the impossible.)
blah. i'm seriously going to lose my mind soon.

having battery acid tossed upon my face, getting some within my eye, does not make a good day. being the one to accidentally do it? yeah, even worse.
and yes, i am fine. fairly annoyed with myself and that company, but still fine.
